Clairvaux is Celebrating our 3rd Year of Business and “Wow” time flies when you are having fun! Our Team has grown, and we are so thankful for our wonderful clients and community who have become like family over the past three years. When I set out to open Clairvaux I never thought that we would be having two stores, an online store and being invited to our first overseas fashion week. There have been so many times where I have pinched myself to be doing this in KC and with such an incredible team of people. To celebrate our 3-year anniversary we are having our first Anine Bing Trunk Show and great events through the entire month of September.

BORROWED FROM THE BOYS.
An ode to men’s wear inspired tailoring shapes and fabrics. You will see a lot of amazing trousers, blazers, and button downs. These are staples for any wardrobe so look for quality fabrics and look for pieces that you will look forward to wearing every day.
COLOR ME JEWEL.
Color remains king. Beautiful jewel tones are an easy way to bring color to any wardrobe. From sweaters to statement outerwear, you will find pops of color in every category. If you find that you are more of a neutral dresser, look to add a colored bag or shoe in a burgundy or pop color to add unexpected interest to your look.
LET IT SHINE.
Sequins are not just for the holidays or evenings anymore. We have seen this trend grow over the past few seasons and fall had some exciting pieces that were easy to wear. Munthe, did a sequin mini skirt that we styled back to a graphic tee and blazer. Samsoe Samsoe, has a beautiful sequin top to be worn back to denim. If sequins aren’t your thing, try adding a Metallic handbag or lots of jewelry to your attire. It's a great way to bring this trend to life.
Our version of the quiet luxury trend we heard so much on TikTok this summer. Luxe Living is all about beautiful fabrics in classic silhouettes without logos or distinctive branding. It allows for a timeless dressing; a great pair of trousers and a classic cashmere knit topped with great accessories. It’s the epitome of Parisian Chic.
MINI, MIDI, MAXI.
We are talking about skirts this season in a big way! Skirts have finally become a very relevant category in all forms of fabrications; denim, leather, silk, knit and tailored suiting. This is a great category to add to revamp your closet. My go to look is to take a great midi length silk skirt and wear back to a cozy sweater with a lug boot or loafer.
Start playing around with different materials this season. If your closet is all cotton fabrics then it’s time to start investing in silk, poly blend, knits, tweeds, shearling and leathers. Working with a variety of textures allows for 3Dimensional dressing and creates a lot of interest even if you’re keeping your look tonal. When getting dressed evaluate the textures you are putting together. A leather pant, a silk blouse and nubby wool cardigan is a great way to pull in multiple textures for an everyday look.
Last season we saw cutouts as a huge trend, we are seeing that trend evolve with sheer fabrications. Still showing skin but doing it in a discreet way. There are lots of ways to play with this trend at every age group. Ulla Johnson had a beautiful black sweater knit with a sheer sleeve. You still feel covered but it’s modern and fresh. Another great way to do this trend in cooler months is a sheer turtleneck for layering under a sweater, vest or jacket.
